What We Offer

With over 15 years of hands-on experience, Gabriella brings an exceptional depth of knowledge and precision to every laser treatment performed at Simply Skin & Laser Clinic. Her extensive background means she understands laser technologies inside and out, how they interact with the skin, how to tailor parameters safely, and how to achieve consistently high-level results.

Gabriella specialises in the treatment of advanced and medically diagnosed skin concerns, including telangiectasia, cherry haemangioma, venous lakes of the lips, seborrheic keratosis, and complex pigmentation conditions such as melasma.

Her approach is highly considered and results-driven, combining clinical expertise with a deep understanding of skin behaviour to ensure each treatment is both effective and safe.

  • Telangiectasias, often referred to as visible vessels or broken capillaries, are small dilated blood vessels that sit close to the surface of the skin, commonly seen on the face.

Laser treatment works by delivering a targeted wavelength of light that is selectively absorbed by the haemoglobin within the vessel. This light energy is converted into heat, which gently damages the capillary wall, causing it to collapse and shut down. Over time, the body naturally reabsorbs the treated vessel, resulting in a clearer, more even complexion.

  • Cherry angiomas are common, benign vascular lesions that appear as small, bright red spots on the skin. They are formed by clusters of dilated capillaries and often develop with age, most frequently on the torso, arms, and shoulders.

At Simply Skin & Laser Clinic, the Clarity II by Lutronic is used to safely and effectively treat these lesions. This advanced medical-grade laser delivers targeted wavelengths of light that are selectively absorbed by the haemoglobin within the angioma. The energy is converted into heat, coagulating the blood and damaging the capillary walls, which causes the lesion to collapse.

Over time, the body naturally reabsorbs the treated angioma, allowing the skin to return to a clearer, more even appearance, often with minimal impact to the surrounding tissue.

  • A venous lake is a soft, compressible vascular lesion that appears as a dark blue or purple spot, most commonly found on the lips, ears, or face. It is caused by dilated venules (small veins) that have become enlarged and filled with slow-moving blood, often as a result of sun exposure and natural ageing.

  • Solar lentigos, commonly referred to as sun spots, are flat, well-defined areas of increased pigmentation that develop due to prolonged sun exposure over time. They are most often seen on the face, décolletage, shoulders, and hands, and appear as light to dark brown patches that can gradually become more prominent with age.

These lesions form when ultraviolet (UV) exposure stimulates melanocytes to produce excess melanin, which then accumulates in the skin. Laser treatment works by delivering targeted light energy that is absorbed by this excess pigment. The energy breaks down the melanin into smaller particles, which are then naturally cleared by the body.

  • Haemangiomas are benign vascular lesions formed by an overgrowth of blood vessels within the skin. They can present as red to deep purple areas, varying in size and depth, and may appear either flat or slightly raised depending on the concentration of vessels.

Our Process

1.

Diagnosis by Dr. David Lester

Dr. David Lester is the Director and Skin Cancer Practitioner at Horsham Skin Cancer Clinic (in the same building as SSLC).

We always ensure a comprehensive medical assessment is undertaken prior to any laser treatment of these lesions.

2.

Consultation with Gabriella

Following diagnosis, you will meet with Gabriella for an in-depth consultation.

During this consultation, Gabriella will discuss the laser process itself and provide the pre & post care instructions.

3.

Laser Treatment

If determined to be the best treatment option, your laser treatment will be performed using a medical-grade laser device, specifically targeting your concern.

Depending on the lesion being treated, treatment times can vary from 10-minutes to 1-hour.

Review & Ongoing Skin Management

Depending on the skin lesion treated, a treatment review will be scheduled between 4 - 8 weeks following your initial laser appointment.

Gabriella will assess the lesions that were treated, monitor the healing process and determine if further treatment is required.
